All half-dollars minted from 1964 to the present bear an image of John F Kennedy.
All Half-Dollars from 1964 to date have JFK on them. Your coins are nothing special, just spend them. Most coins dated 1964 and earlier contain silver, which is worth about $31 per ounce. So collect a bunch of silver coins, then take them to a coin dealer, you should get about 10 to 1 exchange. For example a half dollar is worth $5 for the silver content.

For circulated half-dollars, ones dated 1964 are 90% silver and worth about $15.50 in silver value. Half-dollars dated 1965-1970 are 40% silver and worth about $6 in silver value. Circulated examples of 1971 and later half dollars are only worth 50 cents. Coins in mint sets that are uncirculated or proof may bring a premium to collectors but in general there is low collector demand for Kennedy half dollars outside of their bullion value.
They are not silver. Kennedy half dollars stopped being silver in 1970, all 1971 dated coins are copper-nickel and only worth 50 cents. There wasn't even a 1971 half dollar in silver for collectors. All 1971 half dollars are worth only 50 cents unless in a mint set.

Yes, there is a John F. Kennedy silver half dollar but not a quarter. Kennedy half dollars were minted in 90% silver in 1964, and 40% silver from 1965 to 1970. Silver quarters were last minted in 1964 before switching to a copper-nickel composition.
There is no such coin. Take what you have, turn it over, and you'll see that it's a HALF dollar. In addition, there has not been any silver in half dollars since 1969; yours is made of cupronickel like dimes and quarters. Bottom line, you have an ordinary circulation coin worth face value only.

They're only worth about 7.50 each right now. Sorry. I just inherited a set, and have researched it. These spoons are available online now for about 7.50 to 8 dollars each.
This is not done at the mint, rather, a third-party has punched two dates in it and gold plated it. It is only worth what a circulated Kennedy half dollar (because it has been damaged) of that date is worth, there is no extra value. If its dated 1964 it is 90% silver and worth about $8 in scrap silver. If it is dated 1965-1970 it is 40% silver and its worth about $3.25 in scrap silver. If it is dated 1971-present it is just worth 50 cents, nothing more.
