I assume you mean a 5 dollar piece. It should have a picture of Miss Liberty on one side, and eagle on the other, and be about the diameter of a nickel but heavier. Circulated 1901 $5 pieces retail from about $150 if worn, up to $200+ in Extremely Fine condition (effecitvely no detectable wear). A 1901 Half Eagle 5$ gold piece (no mint mark or S mint mark) in very fine condition is worth $140.00, in uncirculated condition is worth $200.00, Proof is worth $8,500.00. There is also some 1901S half eagles that were struck with the 1 over 0, and these are worth more.
