yes, he tought himself to read and write all by him self. he would read books he would find.
It would make them misfit for work
I believe Lincoln had a photogenic memory . He would read a book on war and engagements then go out and win the meeting the armies would plan against the south. Anything he needed to know he went to books then he would incorporate exactly what he read into his actions. Therefore based on that its IMO he did have one. Thank You

The fireside poets were Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, John Greenleaf Whitter, Oliver Wendell Holmes, and James Russell Lowell. The reason they are called the "fireside poets" is because their poems were read by firse usually.
I would describe them as "literate", or use the term "well read"
That depends on who you ask, different people, different opinions. I would describe it as a great read.
You would of needed to put your age 13 or older for chat rights.
How the heck are we supposed to answer this? Open your chat on what? funny how people think you can read their mind :P
Although there are a large number of free video chat sites I am not sure how much I would trust these sites for maintaining your privacy. These are called chat rooms and others can read your chats. You might be more interested in looking into getting skype in order to keep in touch. If you would still prefer a chat room I found that Chatablanca comes highly rated.
I think that this book is great. Everyone should read it!
Read the book and anwer it your self -_-
We listened on the RADIO to the "Fireside Chat" with FDR (Franklin Delano Roosevelt). We also listened to soap operas, comedy shows, and news on the RADIO. We played cards after supper and read books. More kids were born to married couples during those years too, so use your imagination on that.
Drink coffee, read books and chit chat with friends. :)
