THE COLONISTS IN NORTH AMERICA WERE THE NATIVE AMERICANS
At the time, Americans were British! They were British colonists! Of course they were allies! The British colonists in America wanted French land and Great Britain wanted to take over the fur trade in North America.
The animals that were brought with the colonists were not native to the land and the colonists allowed them to roam around the colony. When they did this the animals would eat the crops the Native Americans were growing. This caused a problem between the two groups and if one of the Native Americans killed or hurt one of the animals the colonists would charge them for the animal and all the offspring of that animal. Not only were the colonists bringing nonnative animals, but they also introduced plants and insects into the environment trying to create another England. The honey bee was the most destructive insect introduced to North America and essentially the colonists practiced environmental terrorism against the Native Americans.
The native Americans introduced new farming techniques and produce such as corn and soy that the colonists were unfamiliar with. The native Americans also helped the colonists heal the diseases that many were picking up, because the colonists hadn't come across them in Europe. The land provided them with innumerable natural resources to research, construct new industries, and build a country.
The Native Americans taught the colonists a lot about the land and how to survive. Afterwards, many of the Native Americans were displaced.
If Native Americans had not united with the colonies then the colonists might have lost the Revolutionary War.
It was a swap between the two. Corn (North America) and potatoes (from South America) were introduced to the colonists. As well as tobacco but this wasn't a food crop.Barley, wheat and rye was introduced to the native Americans by the colonists.Potatoes actually save Europe from famine as they didn't have enough to feed all at the time. It was one reason that these explorations were done.
