A little digging on the net will show you her official White House portrait and some other odds and ends. But in a nut shell, she chose to wear several different styles, primarily though she wore French dresses. These generally included furs around the shoulders, and much lower necklines than American fashions allowed. It generally stopped JUST before the shoulders and plunged down to show just a little bit of cleavage. Puffed up sleeves and shoulders were also very in for Mrs. Monroe's time.
