Until the 1990 redesign, most US bills looked very similar.

The front of a 1950 $100 bill has a small portrait of Benjamin Franklin in the center, surrounded by an oval frame. The bill's corners have the number 100 and the edges are framed by ornate scrollwork.

The back has the familiar image of Independence Hall. It's inside a scrollwork rectangle with rounded corners. The number 100 is in each corner at a 45-degree angle.

The only colors are green and black, and there's no watermark or security strip.
