The English took over some land in Ireland and made new laws that the Gaelic Irish could not take living under. So the Gaelic Irish got in a boat and sailed away and took the wrong direction and ended up in Italy instead of Spain. :)

Th e above has obviously been written by someone who does not know what they are answering. The land was not a small bit of land but Ireland. The Irish had to leave their lands as they were being driven from it. they did land in Spain, if you look up the History of Chief O'Neil that should show you. Don't think you would have been so flippant if Argentina had taken back their own lands ie Malvinas, Falkland Islands.
