Unless it has an O mint mark, about $300 for its gold content. If it's a 1909-O, it's worth about 2.5X as much as a collectible coin.
Both the 1909 and the 1909-O (the mintmark if any will be on the back of the coin under the eagle) are better date coins. The 1909 is worth about $8 if worn, and the 1909-O is worth about $15 if worn. The Barber series is filled with condition rarities where even common dates can be worth hundreds of dollars if uncirculated. Without seeing your coin I can't give a full value, but in better shape both the 1909 and 1909-O can be worth $50 or more.
$400.00- $24000.00 dollars.
If you mean a 1909 US Lincoln cent, look at the back of the coin, just above the rim at the bottom for 3 small letters, V.D.B also if it has a mintmark under the date 1909 on the front of the coin. These letters on the coin or the lack of, makes a big difference in value. Post new question with this information.
I would say 50 cents...unless 1909 is a super rare year in coin collecting or something. Then it could be worth a lot. But don't take my word for it.

A new Indian Head Cent Dansco coin folder dated from 1856-1909 #90 sells for about $5.00.

A 1909 Half Eagle can be worth well over $500.00
What is the dollar amount marked on the coin? There are 1909 two and a half, five and ten dollar coins. The $2.50 coin is worth about $3-400, the $5.00 is about $500-750, and the $10 is about $8-1200.
$400.00- $24000.00 dollars.
The intention is to make the coin worth more. See the related link to spot a counterfeit coin.

You neglected to post the coin's denomination. Please post a new question with that information.
Value depends on the date of the coin, post new question.
It means the coin was minted in San Francisco.Note that there were lots of coins in 1909, not just "the" coin.
