This is an alter coin and was not done at the mint. It is worth only its silver value which is around $14-$16.

Since it's a 1964 coin, unless it's a nickel or penny, it may be worth slightly more in raw silver value, but it would depend on what coin (dime, quarter, half-dollar, dollar) it is.

At minimum, it currently has $3.50 worth of silver in it. Without either seeing pictures of both sides, or a very detailed description of both sides, it's impossible to provide any meaningful estimate of value.

Something with the heads side on both sides is a post-mint novelty item, and is only worth as much as someone will pay.
Then it's just as fake as the ones with heads on both sides.

Heads do not have to be ground because they are aluminum. If you're taking both heads off then you need 2 new gaskets. It's not a bad Idea to replace both if one is leaking though because the other one might not be far behind.
