1959 is not a rare date for Washington quarters. In average circulated condition, its value is determined mostly by the silver it contains. The price of silver changes every day, so check a newspaper or financial site for the current price, then multiply by 0.18 for a rough retail value. A dealer will pay half to 2/3 of that amount. A nice uncirculated one can sell for around $10, with the possibility of going as high as $700 for a top-quality strike.
1959 quarters were made of silver (90% + 10% copper) but none were made in San Francisco. Coinage operations at that mint were suspended between 1956 and 1965. Please check your coin again and post a new question, or check the Related Question for information about Denver and Philadelphia quarters.
