You didn't say what mintmark but a 1854 seated Liberty quarter is worth this: Good-4: $20.00 Very Good-8: $25.00 Fine-12: $35.00 Very fine-20: $45.00 Extra Fine-40: $85.00 Almost Uncirculated-50: $225.00 Mint State-60: $500.00 There is an error where the O mint mark is larger than usual.
Circulated examples are valued at $200.00-$400.00. Please check the back for any mintmarks, the 1854 Quarter Eagle is the only one that was struck at all 5 mints and mintmarked coins have higher values. I suggest having a dealer or collector evaluate the coin.

The mintmark on the 1854 US quarter can be found on the reverse [tails] side of the coin beneath the eagle. The coin was minted at 2 different mints; Philadelphia and New Orleans. The letter "O" represents the New Orleans mint. The coins minted at Philadelphia do not have a mintmark.
