In average circulated condition, it's worth $5 to $7 However, you need to check the back for a mintmark -- either a "D" or an "S" -- above the FIVE CENTS. If it has one, then you need to determine if the coin is type 1 or type 2. This is most easily distinguishable by looking at whether the FIVE CENTS is on the raised mound or within a recessed area. In average circulated condition, with the following mintmarks, they will have the following values :

• Type 1 : D-mint = $8 - $10 ... S-mint = $25 - $30
