To determine which coin you have it will be necessary to locate the mint mark. On the Barber half dollars this mark consists of a very small letter located on the reverse side of the coin just beneath the eagle. The letter "S" is for San Francisco. The letter "D" is for Denver. If there is no letter at all then the coin was minted in Philadelphia.
