All 1933 Walking Liberty halves were struck at San Francisco. The mint mark is on the back, roughly at the 8:00 position. (The "W" on the front is the designer's monogram and not a mint mark)

Numismedia lists the following approximate retail values as of 04/2012:

Very worn condition - $18

Moderately worn - $18

Slightly worn - $20

Almost no wear - $301

Uncirculated - $660 to $12,290 depending on quality

DISCLAIMER: The retail values quoted are the best available as of the date shown, but may vary significantly due to changes in the precious metals market. Also the wholesale (buying) price of a coin will be less than the selling (retail) price. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation based on inspection of the coin.

AnswerA US 1933 half dollar can be worth from $.50 to $4,000.00, or more, depending on its mint mark and wear and tear. Have it appraised by a reputable coin appraiser. NEVER CLEAN A COIN...EVER!
