The last silver certificate $1 bills were dated 1957. A bill dated 1974 should have a green seal and the words "Federal Reserve Note" across the top. Unless it's in crisp uncirculated condition it has no extra value.

All US half dollars dated 1974 were struck in copper-nickel. They have no added value, so feel free to spend it.
None of the Eisenhower dollar coins struck for general circulation have more than face value. Only proof and uncirculated collectors coins sold from the Mint with "S" mintmarks are 40% silver and have premiums
