As of 02/2010 an uncirculated half dollar dated 1978 without a mint mark (Phila) would sell for $1 to $20 depending on quality; Denver coins sell for $2 to $26.

A cupronickel proof version in its original packaging might retail for $6-18 depending on variety and quality.
