In average condition, 1964 Kennedy halves and common, late-date Franklin and Walking Liberty halves are pretty much only worth their silver melt value. They contain about 0.36 troy oz. of precious metal; at (for example) $30/oz a dealer might pay $8 to $10 per coin.
Older, better quality, and/or less common halves can be worth more to a collector but it depends on date, condition, and mint mark. There are some values pages at the Related Links, below.
