Look on the back of the coin to see if there's a small mint mark letter. It may be blank or there may be a C, D or O.

Numismedia lists the following approximate retail values as of 05/2011:

No mint mark (Philadelphia):

Very worn condition - $210

Moderately worn - $258

Slightly worn - $348

Almost no wear - $385

Uncirculated - $540 to $9,560 depending on quality

"C" mint mark (Charlotte):

Moderately worn - $760

Slightly worn - $1,050

Almost no wear - $4,138

Uncirculated - $11,560 to $38,130

"D" mint mark (Dahlonega, GA):

Moderately worn - $384

Slightly worn - $780

Almost no wear - $4,846

Uncirculated - $12,810 to $15,700

"O" mint mark (New Orleans):

Moderately worn - $258

Slightly worn - $348

Almost no wear - $1,140

Uncirculated - $4,810 to $16,250

DISCLAIMER: The retail values quoted are the best available as of the date shown, but may vary significantly due to changes in the precious metals market. Also the wholesale (buying) price of a coin will be less than the selling (retail) price. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation based on inspection of the coin.
