Numismedia lists the following approximate retail values as of 04/2010:
No mint mark (Philadelphia):
Very worn condition - $71
Moderately worn - $150
Slightly worn - $219
Almost no wear - $518
Uncirculated - $930 to $35,630 depending on quality
"S" mint mark (San Francisco):
Very worn condition - $98
Moderately worn - $265
Slightly worn - $360
Almost no wear - $1,450
Uncirculated - $3,090 to $17,310
What condition is it in? Is there an S mint mark? A "G4" grade coin w/o mint mark is worth about $40, while one in almost perfect condition (MS60) is about $900. If it has an S under the eagle, values range between $70 and $3,000. Don't forget about the law of supply and demand. If loots of collectors suddenly want coins in the better grades, those values will increase exponentially. Also, coin dealers want to make a profit on the deal, so if you are selling the coin, expect to be offered only 66% of the Redbook value for the coin.
