Half-dollar mintages were generally low during the 1880s so coins from this decade have above-average values for the Seated Liberty series. Numismedia lists the following approximate retail values as of 10/2010:

Very worn condition - $270

Moderately worn - $450

Slightly worn - $540

Almost no wear - $716

Uncirculated - $870 to $18,130 depending on quality

DISCLAIMER: The retail values quoted are the best available, but may vary due to market fluctuations. Also the wholesale (buying) price of a coin will be less than the selling (retail) price. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation based on inspection of the coin.
