The only U.S. silver dollar coins dated 1877 are Trade Dollars.
Assuming the coin is circulated and has no mintmark, the 1877 Trade Dollar is a more common date. For an accurate assessment of value the coin needs to be seen and graded. In general the coins are valued at $150.00 to $500.00 depending on the grade of the coin. Values are a market average and only for coins in collectible condition, coins that are bent, corroded, scratched, used as jewelery or have been cleaned have far less value if any to a collector or dealer.
NOTE: The entire series of Trade Dollars is known to have been counterfeited.
