The family life during the Great Depression wasn't all that close and when we say that we mean that they werent always together and when a family member died during the Great Depression they had to keep on walking and leave their dead bodies behind.

They lived in the south so there original jobs were farming but in Florida farming was ruined by the two hurricanes that hit. In other places in the south grasshoppers and fruit flys invades crops so most people moved to California. people often had to have more than one job. People had to play with inexpensive toys like board games and sports.
