The Stono Rebellion was a slave rebellion that began September 9, 1739, inSouth Carolina.

It was a slave revolt. The slaves were marching from Stono, SC to freedom in FL. They stopped in a field before FL with about 100 slaves to celebrate. While they were there, the militia ambushed and killed them all.
