Current auction values for a 1934 A $5 silver certificate (the type indicated by a blue seal) range from $6 to $8 depending on how worn it is. An uncirculated one might sell for about $20. A dealer would pay wholesale values, anywhere from face value to about 2/3 of the auction value.
