Governor of Puerto Rico
It is larger then Delaware and Rhode Island combined.
Puerto Rico is not a state and never has been a state. It is a commonwealth that is a part of the US, acquired as a result of the Spanish American War. Should the majority of Puerto Rican residents eventually vote for Statehood, and the local legislature approves a resolution to petition the US Congress for Statehood, and the Governor of Puerto Rico approves the petition to the US Congress, then the US Congress (both House and Senate) must pass a resolution to admit Puerto Rico to the Union. If this resolution is passed and signed by the President Puerto Rico would become a state.
Puerto Rico and.... the other escapes me.

When the United States invaded Puerto Rico in 1898 during the Spanish-American War, most native Puerto Ricans experienced a mix of apprehension and hope. Many were wary of the potential loss of their cultural identity and autonomy, while others saw the U.S. presence as a possibility for modernization and improved governance. The invasion marked the beginning of significant political and social changes, leading to Puerto Rico becoming a U.S. territory and altering its relationship with the mainland. This transition also sparked ongoing debates about colonialism and self-determination that continue to resonate today.
