On its final voyage in early 1918, the collier USS Cyclops (AC-4) was travelling from Brazil to Baltimore with a full load of manganese ore. After an unscheduled stop in the Barbados around the first week of March, 1918, the ship disappeared off the US Atlantic coast, and no traces of it were ever found. The ship had a crew of 236 and 70 other persons aboard.
Suspicions surfaced because its captain, LCDR Worley, USNR, was actually a German, Johann Wichmann, and had an alleged psychological imbalance. But no record existed that he had acted to sink the ship, or to turn it over to the Germans, in the aftermath of World War I.
Abraham Lincoln was last seen at the theatre where he was assassinated.
Yes. That's why it was called 'USS'. Ships of the Confederate Navy were 'CSS'.

USS Constitution. Aka "Old Ironsides." Simply because it's the oldest ship in the Navy still commissioned.

No, the USS Cyclops has never been found. The naval cargo ship disappeared in March 1918 in the Bermuda Triangle while en route from Barbados to Baltimore, carrying over 300 men and a large cargo of manganese ore. Despite extensive searches, no wreckage or remains of the ship were ever discovered, leading to various theories about its fate. The mystery of the USS Cyclops remains one of the most famous maritime disappearances in history.
Ulysses and the Cyclops (Just read the story last week!) :)
The last USS Plunger, SSN 595, was commissioned in November 1962
That Cyclops will eat Odysseus last of the men.
To the Persian Gulf. It will meet up with USS Abraham Lincoln there.
The cyclops was suspicious since the ram was usually the first to leave the cave, but in this case it was the last to leave.
Odysseus blind the Cyclops. The way he does this, is that he had seen some large logs burning in the cave. So, Odysseus and his crew had managed to lift up one of the logs and shove the burning end of the log into the eye of the Cyclops, which does NOT kill him, but does blind him.
Ah, the Cyclops, a creature of the ancient tales. He offered a noble gift to Odysseus, a gift that spoke of his strength and power. The Cyclops promised to eat Odysseus last, showing a twisted form of respect in his own unique way.
