He was born in Hardin, Ky. At 9 years old he was moved by his family to Spencer County, Indiana. At the age of 21 he moved to Macon County, Illinois. One year later he move to Coles County, Illinois. At the age of 35 he moved to Springfield, Illinois which was his home base from then on. Of course as President he lived in the White House.
Union General William T. Sherman visited president Abraham Lincoln in the White House in 1964. During the visit, Sherman presented the captured city of Georgia to Lincoln as a present.

No she didn't. In fact, she was so upset at his death she locked herself in a bedroom in the White House for days ( this room is now called the Lincoln bedroom) and she never recovered from his death. While she was locked in the room crowds of people broke into the White House and started stealing items from the rooms.
