The U.S. $1,000 bill features a portrait of Grover Cleveland, the 22nd and 24th President of the United States. This bill is no longer in circulation and is primarily of interest to collectors. It was last issued in 1945, and the U.S. Treasury officially discontinued it in 1969.
1000 Dollars
The bill has a design on the back rather than a picture. The words The United States of America appear in the center, with ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS in capital letters below it. Those words are surrounded by a modified rectangle with scrollwork at its top and bottom. The corners of the rectangle have rounded cutouts with "1000" printed at a 45 degree angle. The space between the rectangle and the bill's border is filled with ornate scrollwork and four small "1000" values.
