The Cuban flag was adopted first, officially becoming the national flag of Cuba on May 20, 1902. The Puerto Rican flag was created later, with its current design being adopted in 1952. However, a version of the Puerto Rican flag resembling the current one was first used in 1895, during the Cuban War of Independence. Thus, while the Cuban flag was officially adopted earlier, both flags share historical ties and influences.

At least his father is... His GG Grandparents came from Puerto Rico but after that it's mix of Swiss and whatever else.
She was born in Passaic, New Jersey. Her father came from the Dominican Republic, and her mother is Puerto Rican-American.
Who knows. It was probably just a shortage of rice and an abundance of leftover beans that came to the rescue when more people came for dinner then were expected. Kitchen Magic is like that.
Don Omar is half Dominican. He has came out and said it. However, his mother is not Dominican, she is Puerto Rican. Don Omar's Father is Dominican.
Ivy Queen's nationality is Puerto Rican and many Puerto Ricans are racially mixed with the African slaves that came there, the Taino Indians and the Spanish conquistadors. From her features, it is quite obvious she has black in her blood, but seems mixed with these three things as most Puerto Ricans are.
well in the streets of puerto rico(projects) he grew up there until age ten then he came to florida with a strong puerto rican accent and was known for kissing cuban girls then he went to live in mexico where he would meet his wife juanita and then he cheated on her with martin luther king jr ralph and martin fell in love with each other and they ran off to puerto rico again and adopted a puerto rican girl named jessica and they would beat her like crazy until she died so when ralph shot martin luther king in the neck and then he sucked his blood so he can pretend he was a vampire
Its actually "Boricua" and the Puerto Ricans use it to refer to themselves and where they are from. For example, if you're from Mexico you might say "I am Mexican". In the same way, Puerto Ricans can say "I am Puerto Rican" but a slang for that is also "I am Boricua."Hi, with all due respect and as a Puerto Rican, I have to make a clarification to the answer; our indigens, the Tainos, called the mail island Puerto Rico "Boriken", that change to Borinquen from those words it where it came the word Boricua. Thank you for the opportunity to clarify.
It is neither. Lugo comes from Spain; from a small community in Galicia with the same name. When the Spanish conquistadors colonized the Americas troughout the 16th to 19th century, many people with such last name came to both Mexico and Puerto Rico, hence the confusion.
Puerto Ricans are a very diverse people. They do not descend from one race or one ethnic group. They descend from the three basic races: Black, White and Asian. The Taino Indians were the indigenous people when the Spaniards came and claimed the island. Through enslavement and disease most of the indigenous population was decimated. Those that survived were absorbed by the population later. The Spaniards brought in African slaves to replace the Indian workforce. An intermingling likewise occurred. In time the Spaniards settled the interior of the island as a result of immigration from Spain, but there were other nationalities that immigrated to Puerto Rico: Corsicans, Italians, French, Irish, Scottish, Germans, Chinese, Lebanese and American expatriots. One can be white and be Puerto Rican and also black and be Puerto Rican. Or one can be a mixture. It all depends on one's ancestors. Puerto Ricans do not speak any dialects. They speak Spanish, albeit with its local nuances and colloquial expressions.
That would be Beck's "E-Pro." I was actually wondering this myself, and had been researching the question when I came across this.

The Last name Ocasio comes originally from Ireland and was orgianlly Cassidy. I also heard some Ocasio's came from Italy. My father was born in Puerto Rico and Ocasio is known primarly today as a Puerto Rican last name. Alot of the Cassidys left Ireland in the 19th century and moved to other parts of the world because of the English.
