Yes. Schools were very much the way they are today in the 1950's.
in the schools in the early 1900s was very streaked. they had hats that said the letter d on it or said the word dune on it which mean fool dumb or stupid. they had canes and hard lether straps to whack you with. for the girls exercise was very funny they yawn and streach. the schools were not tha good the learned word by word. the schools were not useful. some people could die.
