It depends on which colony you are talking about. Elizabeth Dare was the first person born in America. She was born in Roanoke. Nathaniel Batts was an insane fur trader from Jamestown. He was the first permanent settler of North Carolina.
if Jamestown is a person then I don't know because I don't know him. if it is a town in the states then I would assume that it is up to individuals in the town to decide how important religion is to them personally.
