Best Answer

The 62 Pilgrims left England because they were being arrested and discriminated against because they refused to follow the Church of England. They were all from one English village, so this was not all of the Pilgrims in England. They decided to leave and to settle near Jamestown, but got blown off course landing in what is now Mass.
