The Pligrims came over to here from England on a ship called the "Mayflower"
The reason why Mayflower is called so is that in the past the Mayflower's owner was Guicciardini. Guicciardini was an ancient Italian family in Florence. The Mayflower got its name because it was scheduled to set sail in May, the flower part symbolized hope, and prosperity in the New World.
