Yes, it should be fine (although I am not a dog nutritionist). For some dogs Papaya can actually help digestive issues and is high in vitamins and minerals. I suggest feeding only a small amount and don't feed the dog fruit within two hours of eating normal meat! One website says

'A good source of vitamins A, C, and E; calcium, phosphorus, and iron. Papaya is said to be a good source of digestive properties to soothe the stomach. I like to buy dehydrated papaya and feed it to my dogs. It is like candy to them!'

But, remember Papaya is high in sugar- so yes it is like 'candy' to them- only feed it as a treat! Hope this helped, if after feeding your Pug papaya make sure they seemsokay- if anything out of the usual occurs, contact your vet!
