Benzanipril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor used primarily to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure. It works by relaxing blood vessels, which helps to lower blood pressure and improve blood flow. Additionally, it may offer kidney protection in patients with Diabetes. As with other medications in its class, it can have side effects, including cough and elevated potassium levels.
