A dalmatian's diet should limit crude protein for they can develop "Bronzing Syndrome" this occurs when the liver and kidneys produce Uric Acid crystals which are not easily broken down by the body. Signs of this is the "bronzing" of skin... the skin and hair in certain places(commonly inner legs, chest, elbows, haunches)

A suggested food for Dalmatians (What I feed mine) is vet reccomended MEDI-CAL food with peasant and rice.(teal coloured bag) Talk to your vet to find out more.
