Syphilis is treated with a penicillin injection. Dose and frequency depend on the stage of infection.
i have vdrl and tpha both are positve at same time wht i do now
TPHA and VDRL are tests for syphilis. They are typically used in combination for a more specific diagonsis.
Syphillis
What is a tpha test
A Venereal Disease Research Laboratory (VDRL) test is primarily performed to screen for syphilis, a sexually transmitted infection caused by the bacterium Treponema pallidum. It detects non-specific antibodies that may be present in the blood in response to the infection. While it is a useful screening tool, positive results often require confirmatory testing with more specific tests, such as the FTA-ABS. The VDRL test is also occasionally used to monitor disease activity and treatment response.

The Treponema pallidum hemagglutination assay (TPHA) is primarily used to detect syphilis, typically transmitted through sexual contact. However, it can also yield positive results in cases of non-sexual transmission, such as from mother to child during pregnancy (congenital syphilis) or through blood transfusions, although the latter is rare due to strict screening processes. Additionally, certain autoimmune diseases and infections can cause cross-reactivity, leading to false positives in the test.
I mean widal test result positive after treatment
A TPHA reactive result indicates the presence of antibodies to Treponema pallidum, the bacterium that causes syphilis. This suggests a current or past infection with syphilis and further testing is usually needed for confirmation and clinical evaluation.
Most probably its VDRL test.
none
it is used in the lab for VDRL, Widal test, & such other tests .
