Why is your dog puking yellow?

Some dogs "tear" easily and can even leave wet streaks on each side of the upper nose by the corner of their eyes. Usually when it's yellow it could mean infection or an allergy to something and it's time to see the vets.

Swollen eyes are caused by many different things: infection, glacoma, foreign objects in eyes such as a fox tails, allergic reactions, etc. The main thing is you need to take your dog to see your Veterinarian immediately. The longer you wait the more problems you could have with the eyes such as ulcers, blindness so time is of the essence. Don't let your dog suffer, go to VET immediately.

The yellow color is from gastric acid and/or bile, and means the dog is vomiting without having anything in his stomach. The two things I think of first are lodged foreign body in the upper GI or infection; in an older dog I would be worried about cancer.

If the dog appears otherwise ill (not eating, lethargic, not playing like normal, etc.), you should take him to see a veterinarian. If the dog appears otherwise normal, you can wait and see if the vomiting resolves on its own in a day or two. If it persists, you should still take your dog to a vet for an examination.
