Will dawn dish soap get rid of fleas on kittens?

any soap will, if you leave it on for about 15 minutes but it is very importlant to throughly rinse it off the dog, to avoid skin irritation...also if you include some garlic powder in their food, it repells fleas

Garlic is actually known to be bad for dogs, so I would avoid adding it to their food in any form. Dawn dish detergent is so effective on fleas--not because of suffocation because we have used other soaps that do not work at all--it kills them instantly. To avoid a dry coat after a shampoo, follow up with a moisturizing shampoo for dogs.

You can wash fleas off of kittens, but there will still be fleas wherever the kittens have been sleeping, and possibley in a much wider area as well; fleas spread out, looking for new victims. So, it is necessary to spray with some appropriate insecticide. And if the kittens go outside, they can always encounter new fleas. Flea collars provide more protection, but only for adult animals, since they are too toxic for an immature animal.

Yes. Lather up the dog or cat and let the shampoo sit for 5 to 10 minute's. The soap smothers the fleas. also Dawn is great for getting grease, and any other substance that may have gotten on the coat.

It stripes off the bad stuff but still leaves the natural balance in the coat.
