Yes, there are going to be a ton of new features in the next expansion. One of the bigger features is all of the old world zones will be getting some kind of upgrade. For instance, the Barrens is being split in half, you can now go into mount hyjal, and desolace will now be a fertile land.
Two new races will be added. Goblins will be joining the Horde, while Worgen will be joining the Alliance. These two new races will have their own starting zones.
