Need for Speed Shift will not run on Windows XP Service Pack 2. The game will nonetheless work on Windows XP if it is upgraded to Service Pack 3.

The Need For Speed 2 Special Edition only worked on Windows and the PlayStation systems. The current version supported for the Mac is Need For Speed: Carbon. (See links below)

There is no specific printer that you "need" for Windows 98. Any printer with a Windows 98 driver should work.
My specs are... 3Gb Ram, 1.87 GHz Core II Processor, ATI Radeon X1250 1Gb I tried Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 and it dont work at all I tried tweaking the settings and running it with tweaked compatability settings so it would appear the games need to be 2001 or newer.
QuickBooks Pro 2007 will work in Windows 8. However, you will need to pay for an upgrade to get it to work.

It will work. Its been working for me. A little Laggy though on the videos but not on the game play. My PC specs are, Dell Gx280 2.8Gigz 1Gb Ram 1Gb GPU GS 8400.
