Can you change a players stats in fifa 09?

I don't know how to do it yet but there's a chance a player that you've editied or created's overall will go up if you put something down

For Example; If you creATED A DEFENDER PUT HIS ATTACKING OVERALL DOWN AND HIS DEFENDING UP.

I was editing the AC Milan Team and I edited the goalkeeper Abbiati who is 79 overall. I put evrything down except the goalkeepers ones and put all the goalkeepers ones up to 99. He'd then changed from 79 to 97. It was brilliant! He's now they best player in my game. Funny thing was that I edited him younger than Ronaldo but when I went to mangager mode he was younger and better but costed less. Even better for someone who wanted to buy him. The probably pay more for a midfielder than a striker but in this case Abbiati would be more value for money.
