Unscrew the two screws on the opposite side of the PSP battery. Remove the final screw on the bottom edge of the PSP.Step 3 Grip the PSP from both sides and gently pull the front cover off of the PSP. This will display all of the inner workings of the PSP, including the analog joystick assembly. Lift the joystick assembly out and up to remove it from the PSP.Step 4 Locate your new joystick assembly and snap it into the spot where you removed the old one. Place the cover back onto the PSP and replace all of the screws that you removed. Place the battery back into the PSP and snap the cover into place.
