You can do any type of quests using any play style. it would be alot easier though if you were a stealth type character for the dark brotherhood.
They have +2 sneak on a leather armor.
You can sneak in heavy armour too. The Heavy Chitin set weighs about the same as a Steel set, but offers more protection. You could imagine it's still handy for an assassin.
Yes.
The best armour for an Acrobat would be light armour of some variety. Generally the lighest possible armour would be best, but as you advance in level this would be poorer for combat, by upgrading your Light Armour and Sneak skills though you should be able to get the most advanced Light armour you can acquire though (which will also be the heaviest) and be able to wear that without any penalties to stealth due to the abilities granted by the high Sneak and Light Armour skills.
There has been a released trailer sneak peek. In the beginning of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Ezio's villa is attacked, and he has to defend it. He only has the Hidden Gun, sword, and hidden blades, but no robes; only tattered clothes.

Well if you are referring to the armor I know it just powers up your current thieves guild armor (one piece of it) to make it stronger. If you are talking about the trainers they have in the thieves' guild I know there is archery, lock-picking, and sneak. I am also pretty sure they have pick-pocketing and light armor.
Ninjas were spies and assassins, they generally wore whatever would help their disguise. They could be dressed as a farmer, a bureaucrat, a fisherman, etc. If they were on a late night dressed in black sneak attack mission they would probably wear no armor to be as silent as possible. If they were going into a frontal battle I guess they would wear whatever armor was popular and available at the time.
You don't need any skills to join, but for you thievery it is useful to work on acrobatics, security and sneak.
It depends on what you wish to be. For a Warrior, Strength and Endurance are important, for a Mage Intelligence and Willpower are helpful, while for a Thief Agility and Speed are the most useful. I usually start off as a warrior with these skills: Major: Long blade, heavy armor, medium armor, speechcraft, security Minor:Short blade, block, armorer, sneak, mercantile Main characteristics:Speed, Strength I choose this because you are beast with weapons, can unlock doors you need to, and can taunt people into attacking you so you dont get in trouble for it. Also because I have figured out that Warriors tend to have it the easiest at the games beginning, so I start off as one nd later, when i have good money, I simply train all the other skills I want to I can be a mixture of all of them.
If you go into sneak mode (hold left shift) and right click on the horse, you will open its inventory so you can equip it with horse armour and a saddle.
It's not so bad. Increasing your skills will make you level up, and your level is what determines which enemies you face. If you continuously level up non-combat skills then you might be facing enemies that are too strong for your level of combat skills. Keep in mind that Lockpick, Speechcraft, and possibly Sneak will also be levelling up. However with high Smithing, you can at least ensure you're wearing the best gear, as it only takes a few perks to reach Advanced Armor for Steel Plate for example.
