- Tampering with games is against the rules as it's called 'unfair gameplay' and also it's piracy (Which is Illegal). If you're hotswapping and you disconnect any wiring, touche the lazer, or damage the console, and are signed in to live, then Xbox Live's team will automatically detect it and your entire console will be banned, therefor wasting around $200. Also if you miss stealth patching and/or keep getting reported, you have a wee bit higher chance of being banned. I got banned for two weeks doing this with stealth patching it. I honestly recomend buying/making a JTAG/RGH/FLASHED/JTAG-R ed Xbox allthough they can get to be quite expensive.
