Not really but you see.. Well, I'm not sure how but there's a certain method to unlock a gamemode where you can play the whole game as your child on a new island, you can get married through that method I guess.

I'd like to add that you can only get married to certain people. For girls: Ivan, Dirk, Angelo, Lloyd and Amir. For boys: Sherry, Emiko, Daisy, Freya and Antoinette.

• Reach a red heart color (60,000 Friendship Points)
• See the person's heart events
• Have friendship with the person's family
• Purchase the Big Bed from the Bazaar
• Be in year 2 of your game or later

Before you can marry someone, you also need to have a minimum friendship level of 30,000 with the person's family. It wouldn't be polite for you to woo away someone who is important to them! If you don't have the required friendship, then you can't marry that person until you do. Some marriage candidates don't have any family, so this requirement may not be important.
