How the wire or cable allows the PS3 and controller to connect allowing them to establish a bluetooth connection. There is no way you can connect them without a wire to allow the link. You asking can you MAKE A LINK BY HAVING A LINK. No you can not you need the USB to Mini USB cable and after that it will remember the controller. You can borrow one but you should have at least 2. I have 4 because I keep a number of controllers plugged into a hub to allow them to charge
The Sixaxis Wireless Controller (SCPH-98040/CECHZC1) (trademarked "SIXAXIS") was the official gamepad for the Sony PlayStation 3 from launch until 2008 when it was succeeded by the DualShock 3.
I've seen new ones by Sony as low as $33 and seen used ones asking the same. Some brands of PS3 controllers are not made by Sony and start out cheaper. Walmart.com has wired PS3 controllers starting at 20$ and wireless under 30$, but there Sony Dual shock is $45. On Ebay the prices start at $1 and go up for controllers with high shipping and off brands. I saw a Sony for $15 incl S/H
Sony officially unveiled the PlayStation 3 (then marketed as PLAYSTATION 3.[15]) to the public on May 16, 2005 at the E3 2005 conference,[16] along with a 'boomerang' shaped prototype design of the Sixaxis controller.[17]
The PS3 controller does not need a charger. Just purchase a Sony PS3 cable and plug into any USB port. Mine is plugged into my Sony HDTV
Get to the nearest Sony showroom or buy it on-line from Sony website.
Of course you could, the jack on both Sony PS1 and Sony PS2 are exactly the same, although it lowers the performance than if you were playing with a Sony PS2 controller which means that you can not actually use the controller because who wants a controller that does not work completely. Used PS2 controllers are cheap and there are no good reasons to try and use a PS1 controller on your PS2 because it will not preform like a PS2 controller
The Playstation 3 unit features limited motion control games through the use of the Sixaxis technology built into the units controller. However, Sony has developed an enhanced motion control that will result in similar games to that of the Wii being able to be supported.
There is no Playstation Laptop there is a Sony Laptop that can Play Games with a controller built in that some people call the Playstation Laptop because of the fact it is made by Sony and has a Controller. Playstation is only a part of the Sony Corporation and they do not and will not make the Sony Laptops
No it is Blue tooth and TVs do not use that they use a system that has to have line of sight, but my Sony TV controller works to play DVDs and blu ray discs on the PS3 so does the Sony Home theater remote
If your like me the Sony HDTV remote also operates the PS3 because of the HDMI sync and so does the Home theater remote
You can purchase the standard controller in wireless version made by Sony. Price varies, but can be as high as $55.
Yeah next time buy a Sony from Walmart.com for under $35
