Anything that supplies charge, can make a Note Block produce a tone, so buttons, levers, trip wires, etc, can all do it.
Even if the charge is continuous, such as from a lever, the block only produces one note until the charge is cut and reapplied.
However to do anything interesting with note blocks, you will need some form of redstone circuitry, especially Repeaters.
Redstone Blocks now exist in Minecraft 1.5. You can make them by combining nine redstone dust on the crafting table.
You get redstone dust and place it on the ground or a block. You can't put redstone wire on walls or roofs.
To make a simple redstone switch in Minecraft, you need a redstone torch, redstone dust, and a block. Place the block on the ground and attach the redstone torch to one side of it, which will power the block. Then, place redstone dust on the ground adjacent to the block to connect it. When you power the torch, it will activate the redstone dust, allowing you to control redstone circuits easily.
Redstone Lamps are made using the following recipe. r = redstone dust g = glowstone block [ ][r][ ] [r][g][r] [ ][r][ ]
Two ways.... 1. Water source block hits lava source block. 2. Place redstone on a block of dirt with water flowing right up against it but not over the redstone... then let lava flow onto the redstone.
You have to mine redstone ore.
You used to be able to hit it, but now you either have to make a redstone path or set the block next to it on fire.
Redstone Torches can only be obtained by crafting, and the required Redstone can only be obtained from Redstone Ore blocks. There are none of those in Skyblock so the only option is to cheat.
