You can plant seeds anywhere, as long as the block you are planting it on is tilled soil. To make the growing process faster having water at 8 blocks or less distance at the same height will irrigate the block.
You don't "make" crops in Minecraft, you find the resource and then you plant. Melon Seeds-Find in Abandoned Mine chest's. Seeds-Can be dropped when breaking tall grass Pumpkin Seeds- You can craft them from a pumpkin. Can find in Abandoned Mine chest's or when you find the pumpkin patches randomly spawned in the world. Sugar Cane-Can only plant on non-tilled grass/sand that is next to water, can find next to water in almost any biome. All seeds need tilled ground (can till with a hoe), and the tilled ground has to be within 4 blocks of water.
First you must make a hoe. Then hoe some grass blocks and you should harvest seeds. Next go near water, hoe dirt blocks and (having the seeds in your hand) tap on the hoed dirt to plant seeds.
roots.
first,go gather seeds by breaking pieces of long grass... the seeds only come every few pieces that you break...next,make a hoe by opening the crafting table and putting sticks in the bottom middle square then the one above that. then put a wood plank in the top middle and top left squares...next,go to a grass (or dirt) block with your hoe and right click (left trigger if xbox) and it should make the ground ready for planting....next,get your seeds in your hand then right click and they will be planted.... also, if you put water in the ground next to the seeds (or plant the seeds near water in the first place) they will grow fasterand bone meal works as a fertilizer
Yes. Mr. Stripey is an heirloom tomato, so the seeds can be used to plant the next year.
Every Minecraft seed is capable of producing dungeons. Seed 19981012 is a known seed that spawns you directly next a dungeon on the surface. Some seeds have more dungeons then others, you will just have to hope that you randomly get a seed that has a lot of dungeons.
There is no next Minecraft.
Diamonds. But in the next update (which is 1.3) emeralds are going to be the rarest item in the game.
You can't really water plants, but you can plant them next to water and grow crops there!
What you do is you get a 2 block high pillar and stand right next to it, then you put a torch on it and it refills you air.
To save watermelon seeds for next year, first remove the seeds from a ripe watermelon and rinse them to remove any pulp. Allow the seeds to dry completely on a paper towel for a few days. Store the dried seeds in a cool, dry place in an airtight container until you are ready to plant them next year.
Yes. Let them mature naturally on the plant. Collect (pick) the seeds when they are full and dry. Store in a dry place and protect from freezing over the winter. Plant directly into the ground in spring.
