you can melt it but it has to be maby with hot wax because you cant melt it with just water maby also with hot water from a cup of tea

People are generally mistaken that this technique will not work because of the extremely high temperatures used during the smelting process designed for original use with metals. However, new research which is currently underway in Japan proves that plastics can indeed be made to withstand these temperatures and still be used correctly for certain purposes. Scientists have been studying the polymers and molecules, which are the components within plastics, and have been altering its internal structure. Recent tests have shown that these new types of plastic can indeed be smelted.
